This year Rotary Club of Aspen will be holding its primary annual fundraiser event, “The Flight of the Ducks 2022,” in lieu of the traditional Ducky Derby.  It will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Rio Grande Park from 11 am to 3 pm.  It will continue to honor our traditional goals of supporting college scholarships, community organizations and international projects.

Come join us for a fun day in the park featuring youth group activities, games, food and music!

This year’s event will raise funds through a game of chance. At 2:22 pm, numbered yellow duckies will be propelled out of a firetruck, and local kids will pull the winning duck numbers for three lucky people to win a cash prize of $5,000, $1,000 and $500.

Local youth organizations will be in the park with games and other surprise activities for the kids.  We also have an online auction with great items you can bid on!

What does our Duck Flight do?

Almost $1 Million in Scholarships awarded to Aspen and Basalt High School Students since 1989.

28 Local Organizations received $75,000 in grants from 2019 to 2021.

  • Combating Malaria in Africa
  • Expert Treatment for Skin Diseases in Mexico
  • Water projects in St. Helene in Honduras
