For over 40 years, the Rotary Club of Aspen has been committed to providing college scholarships to high school seniors in Aspen and Basalt.  That pledge will continue despite the pandemic, which meant cancellation of Rotary’s annual fundraiser, the 29th Ducky Derby Festival.

Since its inception in 1992, the Rotary Ducky Derby has raised over $4 million to support youth groups, social service organizations, and scholarships from Aspen to Rifle.  Over the past four decades, the Rotary Club of Aspen has provided over $650,000 in scholarships that have afforded approximately 115 high school students the opportunity to pursue their college dreams. Click here for more information about the Ducky Derby.

To make up for the Ducky Derby cancellation, the Rotary Club of Aspen has embarked on a $30,000 “Community Campaign”, which is to raise $20,000 or more for high school scholarships and additional funds for local mental health needs.  You can support this campaign by making a tax-deductible donation through the Aspen Rotary Club Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization by clicking on the link below.  You may also write a check to the Aspen Rotary Club Foundation, PO Box 1527, Aspen, CO 81612 (memo: "Community Campaign").

This campaign runs through to October 15.  Please support your neighbors today and join us in this valuable community campaign!
