The Rotary Club of Aspen has made the difficult decision that it will be unable to conduct its annual Ducky Derby festival and duck race in the river this August, due to the health and economic crisis caused by the coronavirus COVID-19. This will be the first time in its 28-year history that the Ducky Derby will not take place. “It saddens me that we’ve had come to this conclusion,” says Rotary Club of Aspen Past-President Shaun Hathaway.  “Rotary’s duck race has provided 28 years of continuous fun and fundraising for the community.”

To make up for the Ducky Derby cancellation, the Rotary Club of Aspen has embarked on a $30,000 “Community Campaign”, which is to raise $20,000 or more for high school scholarships and additional funds for local mental health needs.  You can support this campaign by making a tax-deductible donation through the Aspen Rotary Club Foundation, a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization by clicking on the link below.  You may also write a check to the Aspen Rotary Club Foundation, PO Box 1527, Aspen, CO 81612 (memo: "Community Campaign").

This campaign runs through to October 15.  Please support your neighbors today and join us in this valuable community campaign!
